What is Verditer?
Remove the capital letter and it’s a colour somewhere between green and blue. Add it back in and it’s our company, a close-knit, hands-on pay and reward consultancy that offers fresh insight and a track record of success – and has just turned 10 years old.
We are really excited to be celebrating our tenth anniversary this year and as such will be producing a series of ‘Top 10’ blogs to commemorate our birthday.
Covering subjects such as pay transparency, the gender pay gap and how employee benefits can ‘go green’. We hope these articles will give you an insight into the world of reward and the services we offer.
As each blog is published, we will publish a link to them at the foot of this article, but first we wanted to take a little of your time to tell you about ten years of Verditer.
All of which leads us back to our company name itself. We won’t lie; the reality was we chose the name from a paint colour chart! Incredibly, considering the variations we’ve encountered over the years, we felt it was a name that was easily spelt and pronounced.
What we didn’t want to do was become J&S Consulting. That wouldn’t have fitted in with our desire to be both thoughtful and valuable, offering clients a holistic solution rather than simply going through a process.
One of the big ideas behind Verditer was to provide a service where we not only answered a client’s question, but looked at additional value and addressing the queries they didn’t even know needed attention.
We had a real desire – one we still hold today – to walk in our clients’ shoes and create a vision of reward aligned with their way of working and company brand. To do this, we set out to tailor our output to what clients really needed to help them have the best implementation possible.
We have been able to do this is by being nimble and hands-on. Our clients are really important to us and can be confident they’ll have our attention.
So much has changed in the reward arena since we formed, conquering those challenging first few months of business with the help of copious amounts of coffee. There’s been new legislation, greater expectations and fresh approaches impacting the reward agenda – and one thing is certain, there’s more to come.
From those very early days, we put a high value on building lasting relationships. Those cups of coffee were often part of meetings with clients we still work with today. All those small, personal interactions from our first year have been central to growing our business.
Within Verditer, we are an exceptionally close team who really enjoy working together. We take this ethos forward into our relationships with clients. Their success is as important to us as our own and nearly all of our projects have come from referrals and repeat business.
Throughout the ten years, we’ve aimed to stay true to our principles. We believe in ongoing conversations, collaboration and the power of being personal.
