Happy new year! We’ve taken a look back at the articles that sparked most interest over the course of 2025. Spoiler – the most popular is an old favourite.
2025 was a year where focus on pay transparency and associated regulations really gained traction, and it was a year that we celebrated our tenth year in business with a ‘Top 10’ series.
Here’s the blogs you read the most:
- Today’s 10 great gender pay gap narratives – although published in 2023, this is still a huge favourite. With the Employment Rights Act making narratives compulsory from April 2027 (including both gender and menopause action plans), we’ll be sure to issue an update on this blog shortly.
- How are 2026 pay budgets looking? – in second place is a super practical one. Julia rounds up some of the latest data to help you prepare your annual salary review budgets.
- Pay transparency in Ireland – in this blog we shared how the upcoming EU Pay Transparency Directive is taking shape in Ireland. This was based on the draft legislation. The directive has not yet been fully transposed into Irish law which needs to happen before the 7 June 2026.
- Ten blogs to celebrate ten years – Sam kicked off our anniversary series with a little bit about us including where our Verditer name came from. It also includes a link to all of articles in our ‘Top 10’ series which celebrated our tenth year.
- 2025 reward predictions – we published a summary of reward predictions early in 2025 covering pay transparency, responsible reward, AI and more. We then updated this with a new blog sharing further thoughts towards the end of the year which can be found here.
- 10 reasons to cut your gender pay gap – the most popular blog from our ‘top ten’ anniversary series. Packed with helpful insights into why reducing your gender pay gap is much more than just regulatory compliance.
- 10 steps to pay transparency – another popular one from the ‘top ten’ series, this time providing a checklist to identify steps to take towards pay transparency.
- 10 fundamentals for a winning bonus – a ten-point health check to ensure your bonus is pulling its weight and delivering results.
- How the UK is keeping up with the global shift in pay transparency – why the UK really won’t be far behind the EU when it comes to pay transparency.
- 10 data sources to help set salary budgets – some key data sources that, alongside market data, provide really helpful insights when setting salary review budgets.
