As an experienced HR Director, I’ve had a progressive career across a diverse range of successful organisations. Combining a proven track record as a reward specialist, both in house and in consulting, with HR leadership experience in generalist HR, resourcing and diversity fields.
At KPMG, as Head of Performance and Reward, I led significant cultural change and employee engagement programmes. I introduced greater performance pay to support the creation of a high performance culture, and was integral to the achievement of Sunday Times ‘Best Big Employer’. I also directed the harmonisation of reward in the merger of KPMG member firms across Europe and led the review of the firm’s approach to diversity and inclusion, resulting in diversity goals with each function.
On becoming Reward & Resourcing Director for Cancer Research UK I developed a reward strategy based on cost-conscious reward for maximum engagement and introduced a resourcing partnership approach.
My career includes over seven years in consulting where I've partnered with clients across many sectors including Big4, FTSE350, charities and not-for-profit organsations. I founded Verditer Consulting in early 2015 to bring a fresh approach to the market.
With my degree in Psychology and MA in Human Resources Management, I’m a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. I regularly contribute to the press and conferences including the CIPD Reward Conference, Employee Benefits and eReward and I tutor for the CIPD Post-graduate Award in Reward Management.
As with many others, work and home life are pretty blurred. When I’m not taxi-driver, maths tutor and dance critic for my teenage daughter you might find me cooking for family and friends or trying my hand at some life drawing.
