Searching for the right benefits and wellbeing solutions

In a rapidly evolving world, the landscape of employee benefits and wellbeing is constantly changing, presenting both challenges and opportunities for seeking the best possible solutions. Navigating the intricate web of benefit offerings can be overwhelming, leaving organisations in a tangle when it comes to making decisions that profoundly impact their people deal.

In our experience clients often don’t know where to start when it comes to looking for the right partners for benefits and wellbeing. So many providers seem to offer a plethora of solutions…but can they really do it all? Even if they can, is that what you need?

In this blog, I delve into the points to consider when it comes to selecting the right solutions for your organisation.

  1. Know thy tribe: Before you take the first leap, take a step back and consider your employees. Who are they? What do they need? Identify their wants and needs, and weave this into your reward strategy and benefits offering.
  2. Budgeting brilliance: Be realistic about what you can afford and explore options that fit within your financial comfort zone. Over time the offer can be developed and enhanced, once you know what works for your people and delivers an engagement return.
  3. Web weaving: Instead of attempting to ensnare every shimmering possibility, focus on skilfully crafting an array that leaves a significant impact. Intertwine threads of health insurance, dental plans, tools for nurturing mental well-being, diverse savings routes, and perhaps a hint of discounts and wellness-spending arrangements.
  4. Tech talk: We’re living in the age of tech wizardry, so why not embrace it? Seek solutions with user-friendly interfaces, mobile apps, device syncing capabilities and chatbot support. Employees appreciate the simplicity of accessing what they need at a time that suits them whether its breathing exercises, maximising store discounts or claiming back dental costs.
  5. Communication conundrum solved: Selecting the perfect solution is only half the battle, roll it out like the red carpet at a Hollywood premiere. Clear communication is key. Break down the complex stuff into bite-sized, jargon-free pieces. Use multiple approaches – videos, memes, GIFs, and again think of your audience and do what resonates for them.
  6. Future-proof thinking: Remember, you’re not just picking benefits for today; you’re creating a foundation for tomorrow. Look for solutions that can adapt and grow with your company. As your team evolves, so should your benefits and wellbeing offer.
  7. Partner in crime: Choosing a solution isn’t a solo adventure. Seek out a provider that’s more like a partner, one that feels right, that fits with your culture and your people. A company that holds your hand through setup and onboarding, helps you navigate regulations, and is just a phone call away when you need a bit of support. This may mean looking beyond the players that shout the loudest.
  8. Flexibility: The modern workplace thrives on flexibility, and that extends to benefits and wellbeing too. Consider offering a smorgasbord – employees can pick and choose what suits them best. From gym memberships to pet insurance, let them craft a package that screams, “This is me!”

Feels like a lot to think about, doesn’t it?

While it might be tempting to forge ahead alone, the path to discovering the ideal benefits and wellbeing solutions is often smoother and more rewarding when guided by specialists that are independent to the market.

No bias, no agenda, just simply supporting you to find the best fit in terms of your organisation, people and budget.
